CanSkate

The Skate Canada CanSkate program is the best learn to skate curriculum in Canada. At Exeter Skating Club we have proudly been teaching local children and youth to skate since 1955.

Whether you are looking to improve basic skating skills for figure skating, hockey, ringette or speed skating, or wish to skate for recreation, fitness or fun, CanSkate is the perfect start to get you there.

CanSkate is taught by Skate Canada recognized NCCP coaches along with Exeter Skating Club trained program assistants in a fun and friendly environment. Each month has a theme night and each session is taught with a combination of lessons and games. CanSkate focuses on developing strong basic skating skills with a focus on balance, control and agility. 

CanSkaters will progress through CanSkate stages at their own rate. All CanSkaters will earn badges and ribbons to celebrate their success on the ice. Report cards are handed out at the half way point in December and at the end of the season in April. CanSkaters will also participate in our year end carnival.
