Senior

The Senior program is for StarSkaters working on Star 3 up to and including Gold of the Skate Canada StarSkate program. Senior is taught by multiple Skate Canada Regional and above NCCP certified coaches. Senior skaters will spend time working with coaches in groups and individually and are expected to be able to work independently as well. StarSkate offers opportunities for skaters of all ages to develop fundamental figure skating skills in the areas of ice dance, skating skills, free skate and artistic skating. Skaters will have the opportunity to take Skate Canada Tests through a nationally standardized testing system. Skaters who have mastered figure skating skills in STARSkate may also choose to pursue synchronized skating or pairs skating. All skaters at this stage will be given a solo or solos to showcase at Solo Night and will have the option to compete it at multiple competitions. Skaters will spend time working with coaches both on and off the ice. They will also join the Junior skaters for our stroking session. 

Senior time will continue to be freelance and skaters will be billed for all on ice coach time except for the stroking session. They will continue to be billed for solo choreography and music creation and coach competition time. Seniors will not be billed for club organized off ice opportunities.
